THE BAJAN GEMS netballers will be seeking to maintain or improve their world ranking of 12 to gain an automatic ticket to next year’s Commonwealth Games when they begin a three-test series against Jamaica in Kingston this evening.

However, vice-captain Latonia Blackman, who is arguably the best player on the present roster, will be in line to pick up some pieces of history.

Blackman, who left with the Barbados team just before dawn yesterday, can become the most capped netballer for Barbados.
