STUDENTS OF THE Lawrence T. Gay Memorial School have a lot to inspire them with the unveiling of a community mural on the walls of the school recently.

The project, according to community officer Sergeant Christopher Griffith, was part of  the school’s 35th anniversary celebration and was designed by Patrick Craigwell, Sade Arthur and some schoolchildren.

The mural depicts an array of sporting activities such as road tennis, cricket and football all games played by the students.

Griffith said that the Royal Barbados Police Force through his station sergeant had as its mission to rescue the youngsters in the community through the sports in which they participated.

The unveiling of the mural was preceded by the school’s anniversary church service on May 12, 2017, at the Grace Hill Moravian Church, Spooners Hill, St Michael. (JS)
