St Hill laid to rest

THE LIFE OF the groom, who loved the gelding Sirius Black so much that he got a t-shirt with the horse on it, was celebrated at the New Dimensions Ministries this morning.

Trae Ki-Anderson St Hill, 19, drowned on May 9, this year after going for a swim at Pebbles Beach.

“Trae lived and breathed horses. He longed to be a jockey but his condition (sickle cell anaemia) prevented him from pursuing this profession. However he decided if he could not ride, he would do the next best thing and care for horses,” his stepfather Andrew Bourne told the congregation, adding Trae talked to his horses and disliked the ill-treatment of animals.

Horseman Liaison Officer of the Barbados Turf Club, Mohommed Mohamad, tearfully described Trae as “one of the most polite soft-spoken young men I have ever known”.

Minister Allan Howard delivered the sermon. (HLE)
