GOSPELFEST 2017 officially kicked off yesterday with producer Adrian Agard thanking God and Barbadians for their suppport of the 25-year-old festival.

Conceptualised as a tourist attraction in 1993, it has evolved into a musical event attracting top inspirational singing acts from the local, regional and international gospel music industry.

Speaking at a church service at the Western Light Nazarene Church, Agard expressed satisfaction with the start of the event that will climax next Sunday.

“Achieving 25 years of executing GospelFest is a significant achievement and it is made possible with God and the help and contribution of many. We want to say thanks to all of you who have supported the festival. The road has been long and the journey often rough, but by the grace of God and the efforts of a dedicated team, we have been able to make it thus far,” said Agard. (RL)
