ANSA COATINGS LIMITED, one of the Caribbean’s leading paint and coatings manufacturers and suppliers, is planning further investment in Barbados.

One year after the Barbados subsidiary of the Trinidad and Tobago enterprise was established, officials recently opened the first franchise of what they promise will be a series of Sissons Colour Shops across the island.

And ANSA Coatings export manager Claire Johnson said a major part of their focus would be on Bridgetown and its environs. The new store is located within H. Jason Jones, Fontabelle, St Michael.

“Today we are proud to unveil our new Sissons Colour Shop with [H. Jason Jones]. Our intention is to bring a new dimension of coatings products and services to the Bridgetown area and environs,” Johnson said.

“Contractors, property developers, home owners, interior designers and other members of the business community will now be able to shop in comfort for their favourite paints, accessories and specialty products.”

Johnson also said the company intended to “create a retail outlet that is best in class, of international standard in terms of look, feel and service level, while however maintaining the vibrancy and flair of the Caribbean”.

“We do this by remaining restless, always challenging the status quo, being passionate about delivering excellence and creating constant value for all our stakeholders. Imagination, initiative, resilience and boundless energy are always welcomed in our operations,” she added.

Johnson called ANSA Coatings the “most diversified coatings company in the Caribbean, . . . a one stop shop for decorative paint, automotive paint, industrial and marine coatings, as well as painting accessories”.

“Our goal is to become the regional coatings powerhouse and double the size of our business over the next five years,” she said.

H. Jason Jones chief executive officer Sharon Christie said the new colour shop “enhances our product offering and fits in well. we believe it brings great value and amazing colour options for both home and vehicles to our customers”.

The recent launch was attended by a mixture of construction companies, motor vehicle paint shop owners, and interior decorators. (SC)
