THE CARIBBEAN BROADCASTING CORPORATION (CBC) and the Barbados Workers’ Union (BWU) are headed to the Minister of Labour after the latest round of talks between the two ended in deadlock.
An hours-long meeting took place yesterday in the Warrens Office Complex, St Michael.
Afterwards, Sir Roy Trotman, the union’s special advisor, told the DAILY NATION that CBC was not fully appreciating the union’s position.
He said the main issues had to do with restructuring and with “long outstanding” adjustments in wages. It is understood that workers are looking for an increase of at least ten per cent across the board. (CA)
