MINISTER OF CULTURE Stephen Lashley contends that the Opposition Barbados Labour Party (BLP) will do and say anything to get back in power.
However, one thing he maintained they could not do was to refute and tarnish the progress his Government has made to empower Barbadians.
This “purposeful development”, Lashley said, was most evident with its thrust of youth in entrepreneurship.
Lashley, who also holds responsibility over the Sports and Youth portfolio, recognised that there are issues facing the Barbados economy but in spite of this the Democratic Labour Party-led Government aims to do its best in a plethora of areas. For example, sports, the arts and entrepreneurship.
Speaking in the House of Assembly on Wednesday night as he supported the Financial Statement and Budgetary Proposals for the year 2017, Lashley defended Government’s stewardship. (SDB Media)
