Mona Pelicans win UWI Games

THE MONA PELICANS have done it again. For the third time in six years, they have emerged winners of UWI Open Games.

In a keenly contested competition, the Jamaican team barely managed to win the overall competition on 102 points; two points ahead of arch rivals UWI Blackbirds (Cave Hill), who ended on 100 points.

Third position was awarded to St Augustine who ended the eight-day event on 76 points, while Open Campus, brought up the rear with 18 points. (RA)
