HELP IS ON the way for young Barbadian footballers in the form of Leon Mann.

Mann, a registered English Football Association intermediary and advisor to Derby County player Nick Blackman, has pledged his support to assist young footballers, through the Barbados Football Association, in reaching their true potential.

“This is something I have thought of myself, and Jason Roberts, a very good friend of mine who is a former Grenada international player, has spoken about.

“We have seen recently [how] Leon Bailey moved from Jamaica to play for Genk [a Belgium club], and from Genk he’s moved to Bayer Leverkusen for £11.5 million, and now he’s a regular Champions League player,” he said during an interview with the SATURDAY SUN at Turtle Beach Hotel yesterday. (RA)
