Fogging schedule June 6 to 9

THE MINISTRY OF HEALTH’S Vector Control Unit will resume its efforts to control the spread of dengue and other mosquito borne diseases next week, when a number of districts across Barbados are fogged.

On Tuesday, June 6, the following districts in St James will be fogged: 1st & 2nd Street Holetown, Jamestown Park, Sunset Boulevard, Sunset Crest, Hibiscus Avenue, Cherry Avenue, Cemetery Lane, Mahoe Avenue, Palm Avenue, Cordia Avenue and surrounding districts.

The following day Wednesday, June 7, the fogging team will visit Christ Church, where St Lawrence Gap, Worthing Main Road, Worthing with Avenues, Bamboo Road, Beckles Road, Harmony Hall, Top Rock and the environs will be sprayed.

On Thursday, June 8, the unit will return to Christ Church to conduct fogging operations in Maxwell Coast Road, Dover Gardens, Dover Road, Headley Road, Dover Terrace, Dover with Avenues, Paradise Village and neighbouring areas.

On Friday, June 9, the Bridgetown Port and surrounding areas will be sprayed.

Fogging will take place from 4:30 to 7:30 p.m. each day, and residents are reminded to open their doors and windows to allow the spray to penetrate.

Parents are reminded that children should desist from playing in the fog or running behind the fogging machine. (BGIS)
