SO THE CAVS rolled over Warriors – quite unlike a certain NBA finals.
Station Hill sure looked particularly sharp after that long six-week layoff, having thumped Hilton Barbados Warriors 79-56 in Sunday’s Co-operators General Insurance Basketball Premier League knockouts at the Barbados Community College.
None of the other play-off-bound league contenders actually looked rusty, as Urban Vybz St John’s Sonics, Lumber Company Lakers and Orange 3 Pinelands all won by more than 20 points in their knockout openers.
And the Cavs certainly wasted no time showing how sharp they were, scoring 15 of the game’s first 18 points en route to a fast and furious 28-14 first-quarter lead. (JM)
