Netball queens want indoor facility

CHRISTMAS may be more than six months away, but Barbados’ coach Sandra Bruce-Small believes that her players have been more than good and she has her wish list ready to help netball to reach the next level.

In less than two weeks the 12th ranked Barbados scored a win over world number four Jamaica and then followed up with a three match sweep of ninth ranked Trinidad Tobago in Couva.

Minutes after returning to the island on Monday night, Bruce-Small lauded the belief of the players and the push from her assistants Adrian Craigwell and Margaret Cutting in getting the team “over the line” while outlining the path forward for netball.

“The remarkable effort of our girls has to be put in the context that we have not played indoors since 2015 and we were able to go to Jamaica and Trinidad and do so well. We certainly need to have access to an indoor facility.” (KB)
