TISHANI JORDAN GAVE UP her favourite extra-curricular activities to devote all that time to studying for the Common Entrance Examination. Yesterday, she received the news it had paid off as she emerged top student in the island.
The 11-year old scored 100 in the English test, and 99 in maths.
Her mother was overjoyed when she broke the news to a surprised daughter in the office of the principal of Christ Church Girls’ School, Sharon Knight.
Tishani, who will be attending Queen’s College, wants to be a neurosurgeon.
The top boy was Javon Linton of Blackman and Gollop Primary, who scored 99 in both English and maths. He too wants to be a neurosurgeon as well as a “great” cricketer. He heads off to Queen’s College in September. (GC)
