BARBADOS IS SIMPLY too small for a sex offenders registry, says former Attorney General Dale Marshall.
He was responding to a recent suggestion from Acting Assistant Commissioner of Police William Yearwood.
Last Friday, while addressing the closing ceremony of a sexual offences investigation course at the Regional Police Training Centre, Yearwood called for such a registry as a means of dealing with an increase in rape cases.
However, Marshall argued that such a move would be counterproductive. (RB)
