Worrell qualifies for Pan Am Games

AARON WORRELL has crossed another hurdle in his athletics journey.

While competing at the NGC/ NAAA Junior Championships in Trinidad and Tobago, the 19-year-old CARIFTA gold medallist qualified for the Pan American Juniors Athletics Championships in Lima, Peru.

He told NATION SPORT he was pleased to have qualified for the international event.

“The Pan American Games is a very large event, it isn’t a regional event like CARIFTA and to be able to compete at an international event against the best in the world, and not just the Caribbean, is great,” he said. (RG)
