AG ‘on top’ of warders’ issues

ATTORNEY GENERAL, Adriel Brathwaite is promising this country’s prison warders that their issues are not falling on deaf ears.

But he also wants the concerned prison staff to stay in line, and not flout the law because they have issues with management.

“All the issues being raised with us (at the Attorney General’s Office) regarding promotions and appointments are being addressed,” the Attorney General told the SUNDAY SUN.

His comments came after the Prison Officers’ Association held a press conference last week to air their grievances. Warders cannot legally speak out on issues, so they hired attorneys Gregory Nicholls and Janice Browne to speak on their behalf. (BA)
