Bajans bag gold and bronze

BARBADOS captured a gold and a bronze medal at last weekend’s prestigious North American Central American and Caribbean (NACAC) Age Group Championships.

The event, hosted by the National Association of Athletics Administrations of Trinidad and Tobago, was held at the Hasely Crawford Stadium in Port of Spain. nathan-roett-and-aren-spencer

The eight Barbadian athletes returned home to cheers from family members and friends at the Grantley Adams Airport, yesterday.

Eleven-year-old Samiya Dell, of Sharon Primary, who will be attending Alexandra School in September, secured gold in the Under-13 Girls’ pentathlon with 2 894 points. (RG)
