‘Voters power’ not to be downplayed

DO NO UNDERESTIMATE the voting power of the Barbadian electorate, says chairperson of the United Progressive Party (UPP), Lynette Eastmond.

Should officials from the two major parties do so, they will be in for a shock in the upcoming elections, she declared.

Eastmond was speaking at a UPP rally at Market Hill, St George, on Sunday evening to introduce candidate Everton Holligan to the St George North constituency.

She said Barbadians were so upset with the political process that they had disconnected themselves, but were planning to vote again because they now believed they had options. (HLE)
