Seaweed takes over River Bay

IT IS USUALLY ONE of the most pleasant spots in the north of the island.

But River Bay in St Lucy can no longer lay claim to that title.

Its beauty has been marred by the pelagic seasonal Sargassum seaweed, which is once again choking the bay and causing suffering to residents downwind.

The beach is now filled with the seaweed, and it has residents complaining about the stench. (HLE)
