TWENTY-NINE BARBADIAN swimmers, including wonder girl Danielle Titus, will be heading to Trinidad and Tobago to compete at the Central American and Caribbean Swimming Championships (CCCAN).

The team, comprising of 13 females and 16 males, will compete from Thursday until July 3 for bragging rights for two years.

Titus, the holder of 18 Carifta Games gold medals, is seeking medals in five events in the 13-14 age group. The Harrison College fourth former will race in the 50, 100 and 200 metres backstroke along with the 200 and 400 metres individual medley.

Much is expected of her in the 100 backstroke, the event in which she holds both the Barbados and Carifta Games records. (RA)
