THREE MALES WERE granted bail of $1 000 each after pleading guilty to drug charges today.

They are 63-year-old Theodore Fitzherbert Hinds, 19-year-old John Andrew Hinds and  17-year-old Joseph Adrian Hinds, all of 2nd Avenue Rock Dundo, St James.

Joseph and John were charged with unlawful possession of cannabis, possession with intent to supply and trafficking.

Theodore was charged with unlawful possession.

The charges stem from the discovery of 450 cannabis plants at Rock Dundo during a drug eradication operation conducted today by members of the Drug Squad, the Tactical Response Unit and members of the Barbados Defence Force.

The three accused appeared before Chief Magistrate Christopher Birch in the District ‘C’ Magistrates’ Court and will reappear for sentencing on September 23.

Police also discovered 558 plants at Edgecliff, St John and 68 at Friendship Terrace, St Michael.

The plants seized in all three locations ranged from five feet to seven feet tall. (PR/NB)
