GOVERNOR GENERAL Sir Elliott Belgrave said a heartfelt thank you to Barbadians as he began to demit office Thursday.

In one of his last official acts as the island’s highest office holder, he expressed his gratitude during a ceremony at Government House.

It was the second occasion this week, Monday being the first, that he awarded staff and bestowed awards.

“This is the last time I will be in this room, and I am saying goodbye to the press in this capacity, and I wish to say to the press, and the Barbadian community, that I am very pleased with the support I have received from the Barbadian public and for the gala. (RA)
