Magistrate: Court taking gun thing seriously

THE GUN ISSUE in Barbados has now become a worrying trend and the court must never trivialise such matters.

This was the strong message from Magistrate Douglas Frederick yesterday in the District “A” Magistrates’ Court.

Frederick made the statement in relation to an accused asking for bail on a charge of aggravated burglary.

Reo Rashad Walkes, 24, of 7th Avenue, New Orleans, St Michael, is charged with entering Ming’s Shop with a firearm and stealing $6928 worth of items and money belonging to nine persons. (TS)
