Fewer tents keep up fight

THERE ARE ONLY five calypso tents that will be judged during Crop Over this year.

That’s a decline from seven in 2016.

The five going forward are Stray Cats, Super Gladiators, First Citizens/Digicel De Big Show, House of Soca and Cave Shepherd All Stars.

Out of the pot this year are The Experience Calypso Tent and Headliners. Also absent are the Unattached tent and African Heartbeat.

Anderson MRBLOOD Armstrong of Headliners said in January that they would not be pitching, while Experience recently announced their disengagement. (TG)
