THE YOUNG Barbados Tridents beat Dominica 5-1 on Tuesday night in the first game of a round of international friendlies ahead of the CONCACAF Under-15 Football Tournament to be held in Florida next month.

Kyle Lewis opened the scoring for the local boys in the 16th minute at the Wildey AstroTurf after the ball came off his right foot and sailed straight past the goalkeeper.

While the team missed a few goal-scoring opportunities, they kept the pressure on the Dominicans, ending the first half with a 1-0 lead.

Dominica took full advantage of a defensive error early in the second half to level the score at 1-1 in the 43rd minute through a strike by Audel Laville. (RA)
