Tropical Storm Don: 8 p.m. update

AT 8 P.M. ON Monday the centre of Tropical Storm Don was located about 405 miles (650 km) to the east south-east of Barbados.

The Barbados Meteorological Services said the system was moving toward the west at near 17 mph (28 km/hr).

Maximum sustained winds had increased to 45 mph with higher gusts.

Storm force winds extended outward up to 25 miles from the centre.

On its present track, the centre of Don is expected to pass about 100 mile to the south of Barbados tomorrow afternoon.

Pockets of moderate to heavy showers, thunderstorms and occasional gusty winds in association with this system will move across Barbados tomorrow into early Wednesday.
