THREE-TIME defending Mr Barbados champion Stevenson Belle and 2015 national men’s physique winner, Ryan Haynes, have been provisionally suspended by the National Anti-Doping Commission (NADC) for missing a drug test last year.

That means both men will miss next month’s national bodybuilding and physique championships slated for August 12, effectively making them ineligible for this year’s CAC Championships in Mexico.

Chairman of the NADC Dr Adrian Lorde told the WEEKEND NATION that Belle and Haynes will have a hearing before the disciplinary committee of the NADC next month. No date has been set, but it is almost certain that the meeting will take place in a few weeks.

Both men did not submit to drug tests conducted by the NADC at last October’s Darcy Beckles Invitational Classic held at the Lloyd Erskine Sandiford Centre. (MK)
