Birkett keeps cool against Lockhart

Finals MVP Keefe Birkett says he wasn’t too fazed about facing Andre Lockhart, figuring he’d be better served focusing on his team’s performance than worrying about a one-on-one matchup in Thursday’s Game 5 of the Co-operators General Insurance Premier League basketball finals at the Barbados Community College.

“It’s just a game of basketball at the end of the day and the game is played five on five so it’s not really between me and him. Yeah, we played against one another but it’s a team sport and our team came through in the end,” Birkett said.  (JM)
