REIGNING GROUP CHAMPIONS Mark Maloney and Mark Thompson make up a two-man Barbados team for next weekend’s second round of the Seaboard Marine Caribbean Motor Racing Championship (CMRC).

The event, to be settled July 29-30 at The Frankie Boodran Wallerfield International Raceway in Trinidad and Tobago, will be Maloney’s second CMRC appearance this year.

He opened his account at the Jamwest Raceway in Jamaica in May at the wheel of his Mazda RX-3, which is now sporting new livery.

After running off at the first corner of race one at Jamwest due to brake failure, Maloney won Group 4 two-wheel drive in the second race. The third was abandoned following a rolling start incident involving Doug “Holywood” Gore and David Summerbell Jr. (TT)
