Five remanded in ATM killing

JUST SEVEN DAYS after Colleen Payne was shot and killed while using an automatic teller machine (ATM), three teenagers appeared in a Bridgetown Court charged with her murder as well as two others with allegedly assisting them.

Baggio McNeil Boxill, 17, of 3rd Avenue Spring Garden, Black Rock, St Michael; Kishon Lemar Anderson Thomas, 18, of Nicholls Road, Seaview, St James and 19-year-old Orlando Ricardo Martin (below), of 2nd Avenue, Bibby’s Lane, St Michael appeared in the District “A” Magistrates’ Court on the indictable charge
of murder.

orlando-martinPolice launched a manhunt in the midst of a national outcry over the slaying of the 58-year-old mother of one, devoted Seventh-Day Adventist and child care worker outside of the Royal Bank of Canada branch at Black Rock, St Michael late on Monday, July 17.

They were not required to plead to the charges before Magistrate Douglas Frederick and were remanded until August 22. (TS)
