NOW IS NOT the time to dig in your heels, Mr Prime Minister!

Opposition member Kerrie Symmonds made that impassioned appeal to the country’s leader in the House of Assembly yesterday, a day after a major march against the National Social Responsibility Levy.

He said the stance being taken by the Freundel Stuart “hurts and hinders progress rather than advancing it”.

“It is the worst possible posture to adopt at this time,” warned Symmonds, the Member of Parliament for St James Central, who brought a resolution to the House of Assembly calling on the Prime Minister and the Government to convene and urgent meeting of the Social Partnership. (WILLCOMM)
