THE LATE Spiritual Baptist Archbishop Malcolm Babb was laid to rest today.
In true fashion to the church, the congregation chose to celebrate his life rather than mourn his death and the funeral was full of heartfelt tributes to the man who held the post of Archbishop for around three years following the death of previous Archbishop and church patriarch, Dr Granville Williams in 2014.
The funeral took place in the Sons of God Cathedral in Ealing Grove, Christ Church with members of the various off shoot organisations giving their tributes. Also speaking was Barbados Labour Party candidate for Christ Church East Senator Wilfred Abrahams who said the church survived the loss of Williams and would continue to thrive now.
“Archbishop Babb gave his sweat and blood for this church so the best tribute you could give is to make this church stronger,” he said. (CA)
