THIRTY-FOUR-year-old Closton Robinson did not live to see through his birthday celebrations yesterday morning.
He was deprived of the opportunity when he succumbed to injuries at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital after a gunshot to his face during the wee hours of Friday morning in the area of a village shop. Residents had gathered for a night of karaoke singing at Soaliom Bar in Parish Land, Christ Church.
The development has caused the villagers to lament over the level of crime in the community.
The story told was that Robinson was shot after he intervened in an altercation between two men from the same district. One of them left, returned with a firearm and shot Robinson in the face sometime between 1:30 a.m. and 2:30 a.m. yesterday morning; day of his birthday. (SB)Â
