KADEEM WARD, a 25-year-old Psychiatric outpatient, yesterday damaged a vehicle near Six Roads, St Philip before police restrained him.
Hamilton Rochford, whose car was damaged by Ward said: “I had just come from the gas station and was going around the roundabout when the man just come out of nowhere and just let go a rock in my car. When you leave home in the morning, you never know what you can butt up against.”
Rochford said when he called the police they had already been alerted were and on the scene, as they were apparently looking into another incident involving Ward.
His mother, who requested anonymity, was surprised by his behaviour as she had ensured he took his medication. She was unhappy with the police claiming they had held her son earlier but only took him to receive medical care and let him go. This, she felt, had led to the current predicament.
The frustrated mother added: “This may be a blessing in disguise because I’m not taking him back.” (CA)
