AN AMERICAN VISITOR was ordered to pay costs of $250 dollars today after pleading guilty to the possession and importation of 1.5 grammes of cannabis worth $7.50.

Police say 36-yearold Kelly Michelle Belgrave arrived in the island on Monday and a search of her luggage by Customs officials revealed cannabis in a transparent Ziploc bag concealed in pants.

Police were informed and she was arrested and charged.

Belgrave appeared before Magistrate Laurie-Ann Smith-Bovell in the District ‘B’ Magistrates’ Court and was reprimanded and discharged. (PR/NB)
