Unions, private sector agenda set

THEIR CALL FOR AN AGENDA has been answered.

Both the trade unions’ and the Barbados Private Sector Association’s (BPSA) request for an agenda to be in place for next week’s Social Partnership meeting with Prime Minister Freundel Stuart has been approved.

President of the Barbados Secondary Teachers Union BSTU), Mary Redman, told the SATURDAY SUN that a draft agenda had been put in place following a two-and-a-half-hour meeting at Government headquarters yesterday.

Last week, it was revealed through a letter that the Prime Minister had brought forward the proposed Social Partnership meeting from August 18 to August 11. (RB)
