PM hoping for ‘fruitful’ Social Partnership talks

PRIME MINISTER Freundel Stuart welcomed members from trade unions and business sector as the full meeting of the Social Partnership got underway today at Hilton Barbados.

During his opening remarks where he outlined the agenda for the meeting, Stuart said Government was looking forward to “fruitful discussion” on the issues presented today.

President of the Barbados Private Sector Association Charles Herbert was scheduled to deliver opening remarks, followed by Cedrid Murrell of the Congress of Trade Unions and Staff Associations of Barbados and Toni Moore General secretary of the Barbados Workers’ Union.

An hour will also be spent on issues of mutual concern.

Anne Reid of the Barbados Private Sector Association delivered the prayer.  (SAT)
