Call for nominations for St Michael constituencies

Past and present residents of the St Michael North East, St Michael West Central and St Michael North  are invited to submit nominations for their respective award ceremonies. 

There are several award categories. In the area of sports, eligible persons must have excelled in a specific sport, or have been an ambassador for this country at the regional or international levels. The sports categories include athletics, basketball, cricket, dominoes, football, road, lawn and table tennis, netball and hockey.

The other categories are: unsung hero, education, differently able, culture/arts, horse racing industry, tourism & hospitality, medicine, law, and business.

Each nomination should be accompanied by a testimonial of no less than 300 words, giving background information on the nominee, and stating why he or she is deserving of the award.

Nomination forms may be obtained from the constituency councils’ offices at Deacons Resource Centre, Deacons, St Michael; Grazettes Resource Centre, Grazettes, St Michael; or the Department of Constituency Empowerment, 4th Floor, Warrens Office Complex, Warrens, St Michael, Monday to Friday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Nominations close on Friday, September 15. Completed forms should be placed in self-addressed envelopes and returned to the Department of Constituency Empowerment or the nearest post office.
