26 Barbados Scholars this year

Tropical Storm Harvey delayed the announcement but the wait was finally over this morning as 26 students were announced as winners of the prestigious Barbados Scholarship.

Queen’s College has come out on top this year with 15 students winning Barbados Scholarships and 11 gaining Exhibitions.

Harrison College students gained 11 Scholarships and five Exhibitions.

Two Exhibitions went to students from the Barbados Community College and one to the Christ Church Foundation School.

Scholarships

Harrison College: Carlos Andrew, Clementine Chee-a-Tow-Forter, Daveed Gittens, Sian Hallsworth, Lashaine Holford, David Johnson, Karishma Karnani, Destini Lynch, Afeefa Lunat, Dominique Persaud and Kyron Richards.

Queen’s College: Alana Applewhaite, Dominique Bovell, Shannon Boxill, Kamar Clarke, Dominique Ellis, Gabrielle Farnum, Adara Haynes, Tre Hollingsworth, John Hunte, Joshua Jones, Hailey Laurayne, Zaria Layne, Tiffani Lynch, Nia Marshall and Emma McIntyre.

Exhibitions

Harrison College: Nicholas Atwell, Jameelah Bhana, Jada Jones and Shaquille Thomas and Maurice Walkes.

Queen’s College: Chanelle Bowen, Aliyyah Boyce, Shane Carter, Shanice Cox, Latisha Edwards, Simone Jean-Marie, Maisha King, Tia Mahon, Emilee Mustor, Toria Small, Teri Williams-Niles.

Christ Church Foundation: Azaria Forde

Barbados Community College: Cara Cumberbatch and Brittany Gibbons.
