Pine folk sick of stench

YOU SMELL IT before you see it. 

It’s the sewage that has backed up in the yard of several residents of Princess Royal Avenue, The Pine, St Michael, causing a major stink.

Shamar Carter, a mother of five, and several other residents are upset that four wells that serve several units are often overflowing with sewage and giving off a foul smell, which they say makes the children sick.

The residents are pleading for National Housing Corporation (NHC) officials to pump off the sewage from the wells and make it common practice to clean them on a precise schedule. (LK)
