CLEARING HURDLES IS nothing new to Tre Hollingsworth.

And yesterday, with the news that he had gained a Barbados Scholarship, the CARIFTA athlete cleared his biggest one yet.

The recent graduate of Queen’s College was just outside the medals at this year’s CARIFTA Games in Curacao, where he finished fourth in the 110-metre hurdles.

But with his Grade 1s in accounting, economics, Spanish, Caribbean studies and communication studies, the 17-year-old definitely struck gold. (RB)
