BARBADOS TRIDENTS’ CAPTAIN, Kieron Pollard, hopes historic Kensington Oval can prove a fortress for his side, as they prepare for their crucial home leg of the 2017 Hero Caribbean Premier League bowling off next week.

Tridents clash with Guyana Amazon Warriors in their opening home game on August 29 at 6 p.m., before taking on St Lucia Stars on August 31 in an 8 p.m. encounter.

On September 2, the Tridents welcome perennial arch-rivals Trinbago Knight Riders, who recently signed up Barbadian off-spinning all-rounder Ashley Nurse, for a 9 p.m. contest before facing Chris Gayle’s St Kitts and Nevis Patriots the following day at 6 p.m.

After having played six games on a hectic road trip, Pollard said Tridents were looking to the Oval to provide inspiration and confidence, as they target a play-off spot. (PR/EZS)
