AT LEAST ONE man believes Darian King got the luck of the draw.
Don’t count out King just yet, said his former coach Sydney Lopez, who believes that Alexander Zverev is the one top ten player the Bajan ace should want to play in the early rounds of the US Open.
Lopez made the comment in a telephone interview ahead of King’s historic prime-time encounter tonight with the fourth seed on Arthur Ashe.
“If it was another top six player like a Federer or Nadal then I would say that he’s here for the experience and take away whatever he can but I believe there’s no reason why Darian can’t make things very interesting against Zverev,” said Lopez. (JM)
