A NATIONAL DISGRACE!

That is how Minister of Culture Stephen Lashley is describing the attack on the just concluded CARIFESTA XIII by Opposition leader Mia Mottley.

During a meeting of the St Michael South Central branch of the BLP yesterday evening, Motley described Barbados’ hosting of the regional festival as a fiasco, and said it was part of the ministerial fighting within the ranks of the Democratic Labour Party.

Lashley said Mottley needed to apologise to all those involved in the staging of the ten-day festival, including the police and the Defence Force who reported an incident-free CARIFESTA. (YB)
