ANOTHER BARBADOS CRICKET ASSOCIATION School’s Under-15 cup seems heading towards Waterford.

Nicholls Baking Combermere, appearing in their 13th final, have put themselves in an excellent position to win an unprecedented tenth title at stumps on the opening day of the three-day final against rivals and title-holders Foundation at Wanderers.

Combermere gained a healthy lead of 84 on first innings after they bundled out Foundation for a paltry 87 in 26.3 overs and responded with a respectable 171 for seven from the allotted 35 overs.

Left-handed opener Nimar Bolden made an attacking run-a-ball 51, spiced with three fours and two sixes. He showed scant respect for his Barbados Under-15 teammate Jakeem Forde, whom he pulled disdainfully for a four and a six off consecutive balls in the second over, which cost 18 runs. (EH)
