Double murder in Marley Vale

A double murder rocked the St Philip community of Marley Vale this evening as two men were shot to death, bringing Barbados’ murder toll for the year to 26.

This information was confirmed by acting police public relations officer, Inspector Rodney Inniss.

Reports reaching the NATION newsroom are that the men were liming near to an abandoned shop in the community, formerly Ralphie’s Minimart when they were approached by an assailant and shot.

There have been five murders for the month of August. The island has already surpassed the 2016 murder total of 22. 

Police are presently on the scene and investigating.
