COMBERMERE HAVE WON the Barbados Cricket Association School’s Under-15 trophy for a record tenth time.

They clinched the title yesterday by virtue of gaining first innings lead in a drawn encounter against defending champions Foundation in a rain-hit three-day final at Wanderers.

Foundation resumed yesterday’s third and final day from an overnight 68 for four and still trailing by 16 runs on first innings.

They were 113 for nine – a lead of 29 – when the match was abandoned 29 minutes after lunch due to wet run-ups at both ends. Lemar Cox was on 22 from 72 balls in 90 minutes, with two fours, and Isiah Folkes, on four. (EH)
