Search widens for Brit

THE SEARCH FOR a missing English visitor appears to have widened.

At least three British papers – the Guardian, the London Evening Standard and the Blackpool Gazette – are reporting that the Lancashire police and the Foreign and Commonwealth Office in the UK are working with Royal Barbados Police Force to find Steven Weare.

Weare, 49, who owns a garage in England and imports luxury vehicles into Barbados, was last seen driving his silver Mitsubishi Warrior pickup, registration number J4000, in the car park of Burger King, University Drive, Black Rock, St Michael on Wednesday night last week.

According to police, Weare was wearing a white short-sleeved, buttoned down linen shirt, royal blue chino pants and blue loafers. (YB)
