GOVERNMENT WILL BE working with the Barbados Hockey Federation (BHF) to promote the Barbados Hockey Festival to overseas markets, says Minister of Tourism Richard Sealy.

He made the revelation at the end of the recent 32nd annual festival, which was staged jointly at the BHF’s and the Barbados Football Association’s AstroTurf facilities in Wildey.

“I’m extremely encouraged and optimistic that we can get this festival in particular back to where it used to be,” Sealy told Sunsport.

“We are going to work with the federation to do a little bit of marketing of the festival and the facilities because we can also get university teams to come and do their training here and that is a major thrust of our sports tourism,” he said. (EZS)
