RPTC launches relief effort for Anguilla

The Regional Police Training Centre has embarked on a relief effort to assist the country of Anguilla on behalf of 11 Anguillan police recruits and an instructor.

These officers are in Barbados and away from their families and friends following the passage of Hurricane Irma which devastated their home.

Public relations officer with the Royal Barbados Police Force Acting Inspector Roland Cobbler said police stations and key infrastructure in Anguilla were completely destroyed.

“As a result, we are making an appeal to persons who are interested in joining us in this venture and are desirous of making donations or contributions to contact the Regional Police Training Centre at telephone numbers 418-2634, 418-2644 or 418-2643,” Cobbler said.

People can also deliver their contributions to the training centre at Sewell, Christ Church or make arrangements to have them collected. (PR/NB)
